They are called also sanded glass. The pattern is made by sand grains, blasted on the glass surface and causing a matt effect of patterns applied to the glass through a template. Also application of colour layers on the glass can be used.

Mateulux (satináto) – the technique of etching by acid offers a uniform glass surface break. This surface treatment guarantees a satin appearance and translucence. By contrast with the sanded glass matelux is less subjected to stains and doesn´t require any special maintenance.
